Dusty

I heard faint cries when I was trimming the neighbors Forsythia back. It had encroached beyond the two foot line and was rubbing against my windows and screens. That finished, I moved to the Butterfly bush that has grown wildly since spring. The cries became much louder and insistent....and close. I called out. "MEOW!" was the response in a small squeaky voice. I followed the cries and found this little guy under the leaves of a Hosta.

I tried to coax him out, but he didn't have the energy to move. I scooped up his thin, small, damp & dirty body. When I turned him belly up I saw a flea infestation like I have never seen before. This poor baby was literally having the life sucked out of him.

I brought him in on the porch and offered him food and water. He wasn't interested at all. He could only manage small cries. Son arrived home at this point and helped me put together a flea dip for this pathetic creature. I mixed the solution weaker than prescribed and put him in the warm solution on the picnic table. He managed a minimal squirm.

Once his entire body was soaked the water turned crimson from all the flea dirt. Son exchanged the solution for some fresh warm water, which again turned crimson. By the time I put him in the towel he was nothing but a wet limp mass. I scooted to the store to try and find a flea comb, without any luck.

I brought out the blow dryer and gently warmed his bony body while son brushed his fur. Hundreds of fleas were falling off him.

He purred the entire time. I cannot imagine how uncomfortable for him it must have been. The more I thought about it, the angrier I got. This wasn't an unknown stray to me. This was my neighbors 12 week old kitten. Yes, THAT NEIGHBOR. She has two cats. One is all black and probably this gray guys mom. Neighbor took off for a week and left them outside, without any care or flea protection. This kind of neglect and cruelty makes me furious. Pet owners are responsible for the well being of their charges! Five bucks for a flea collar or $10 for some Frontline and this could have been totally avoided! Keep the cat inside for cryin out loud!

I tried calling animal control, but he only works 8-4. I let the listless one sleep in a bin on a comfy towel with some food & water for the night. He touched neither.

He wasn't much better in the morning. His gums were white - pure white, not pink like they should be. He was so anemic he would probably die. I called animal control from work and asked what would happen. Since he doesn't have facilities for cats, it would probably be euthanized. He told me "off the record" that, if I adopted this cat and The Neighbor kicked up a stink if she saw it in my window and tried to claim it as her cat, I could ask her to prove it.

I had made up my mind at that point to seek medical help and see if this sweet boy could be saved.

Basically, the fleas had sucked him dry. He tested negative for leukemia and FIV (feline AIDS), which are always fatal. I heard my options and the cost of the options (OMFG!), but there was only one choice. One more day out there, unable to move or eat and he would have died. He cried out to me for help, my only choice was to answer.

He has a name - Dusty. Son picked it out.

I got an update from the Vet early this evening after a blood transfusion. Dusty is up and about, eating heartily, meowing to anyone that walks by and still purring up a storm. He comes home tomorrow. Whats one more addition to the menagerie?

On a what comes around goes around note:

Friday, The Neighbors son, wife and 2 daughters stopped by for a visit. They spent 10 minutes on the deck brushing off the fleas from their clothes. Son talked to one of the grandsons, the entire house is infested with fleas. I haven't seen the neighbor in a few days and she didn't answer the door yesterday when son knocked. Nor did she answer on the several other occasions visitors have stopped by over the last 4 days. (Information I relayed to both the Police and animal control)

Hmmmm, maybe the fleas have sucked her dry.

Another Update: Neighbor is still away on vacation, I believe it's been about 2 weeks now. I'm hoping she likes it wherever she is and never comes back.

Doing's

Skanky ho neighbor lost custody of her kids a few months ago. The 14 y/o female ended up in a troubled child camp (shocker) cuz she was cutting herself after visits with her mother. I ended up hooking up with her on Facebook. This poor kid is nothing but a victim, starving for affection like the rest of Skanky Ho's offspring.

Skanky Ho was arrested for Breaking and entering and disturbing the peace in August. She also had a B&E summons for recent activity in the neighborhood (July). Dear boyfriend was also arrested for resisting arrest at the same August activity. Both were also arrested for attempted B&E the beginning of Sept. There was another arrest for the BF for driving on a revoked license Sunday evening. Skanky Ho was arrested on a warrant.

All of this is following an eviction notice from the park, while still fighting to get her kids back. I also heard through the grapevine that Skanky Ho was filing for a Social Security Disability claim for a bad back. Being pregnant for the seventh time has put a damper on that free ride. Yes Folks, my douche bag neighbor is now pregnant with her 7th illegitimate child. Gotta do something to produce a free ride when all the previous illegitimate kids are in Foster Care.

Let's not forget that she is still illegally collecting SS Disability checks for her fucked up 6 year old son starting school this year. A child with Speech impediments and developmental disabilities resulted from Skanky Ho's alcohol and drug use during pregnancy. She is still smoking and has been extremely drunk and under heavy medication/drugs over the last two months. I've personally heard her drunken and drugged out rants and ravings at all hours of the night over the last few months.

The Eviction is still in process and could take a while. It seemed like a light at the end of the tunnel for me but now, with the new pregnancy - it could be a long road.

This evil whore should have been sterilized after her first illegitimate spawn. She only has offspring to maintain her free ride. She has been allowed to reproduce to child #7. This is your tax dollars at work. We are all paying for this disgusting drug addict whore to reproduce innocent victims into a system that we pay for.

Why aren't welfare collectors drug screened and made to support their own offspring?

I hope she is evicted and issued a no trespass order so she cannot come back. I know she will try - she thinks the laws and rules do not apply to her.

In any event ~ I live next door to a true reality show. It provides me much misery and entertainment.

Not Dead Yet

I heard a rumor Saturday. My son was talking to a neighbor while shoveling our driveway again. This neighbor said he heard that the bad neighbors had to be out by March 10th. No idea what the reason was, but they will usually only evict for non-payment of rent. It's tough to evict someone just because they are inconsiderate pigs. They did evict another family because they were always in trouble with the police.

I'll believe it when I see it though. If it does happen, I will dance a jig on the roof of my house.

I worked from home last week (school vacation). All I can say is, I'm happy to be back at work. I ended up working about 10 hours a day - always checking E-mail. I felt like I couldn't sit down and relax or I'd be slacking off.

Son has a girlfriend. She's cute and seems very nice. They've been seeing each other a couple weeks now. I have suddenly turned into a taxi service. I'll post more about this later. I'm not sure my kid is mature enough for a girlfriend.

I've got some other stuff going on too, but that deserves a post of it's own.

I'd better get busy.

A Lot Can Happen in 6 Months or Why You Never Saw Those Halloween Costume Pics

A little more than 6 months ago, son was graduating from high school. Those 6 months have been the longest of my life.

You faithful friends that have given me continued support and checked here often only to find I have been MIA certainly deserve an explanation and, since most, if not all are parents, will understand why I have been MIA.

You probably got the memo about the Mustang disaster.
One of my last posts indicated I was going to attend a Halloween Party for the first time in years.

Well.........

I got a free T-Pass from work for the month of September, son was getting the privilege of dropping me off at the train station and using my car to go to work. The week before the Halloween Party, son got fired. Apparently, son wasn't always going to work.

October 30th I was up late finishing my costume. When I checked at 1:30 AM, my car was gone. Apparently, son had made a copy of my key and was stealing my car at night to go out. I had suspected, but this was the first time he got caught in the act, with the 16 year old drop out delinquent next door no less. Needless to say - I never made it to the party.

2 days later I caught son with a young girl in his room (she had climbed in through the window). I lost it. I went ballistic.

That was the last straw for me.

Grasping at straws he pleaded for me to take him to join the Army. He had that shot the week prior and had refused. I told him, CALL YOUR FATHER CAUSE I AM DONE.

X took son to recruiter that day and son moved to Dad's. Due to timing, son would not ship out until after Christmas. Wonderful POS father that he is, Dad would only let son stay until Thanksgiving. (God forbid he is ever inconvenienced by his only offspring). Son went off his ADHD meds at this time.

There was no way I could let him move back with me, so son asked my Mom if he could stay at her house until he shipped. This became a moot point when POS alcoholic drunk Dad stuck a loaded gun in son's face on November 24th. I'm not going to discuss my feelings on this matter since it would involve me going to prison for homicide. Son then went to Mom's to live.

Mom knew all the history so, son was basically under house arrest and could go nowhere & do nothing. 3 strikes and he would be out on the street. He did hit those 3 strikes. I don't know what they were, that's between them, but son made it through.

All in all, it was good for both of them, Mom enjoyed the company - the house has been too empty since my Dad died, and she had someone to do the little things that she couldn't do around the house. I had also informed son that if he pulled anything on my Mother or took advantage of her in any way, I would take him out of this world - since I had brought him into it, it was my right. Hurting my Mother in any way, shape or form, was not an option

Son had his second swearing in Tuesday December 29th and shipped out to Fort Jackson for basic training.

I had to stick to my guns and not let him move back home though, especially with the loser next door. Yes, it's one of the neighbor from hell's kids. They have two brain cells between the two of them and when they get together they cancel each other out. There was no way I could let him move back home and be able to go to work each day and leave son home alone.

Like I said.....the longest 6 months of my life.

Through all of this son has texted or talked to me daily. He knew I still loved him and wanted the best for him but, he had burned through all his chances with me - and there were many, many, many chances.

Through some planning, I have been on vacation since Christmas Eve. Good thing, since I spent most of Tuesday crying. My head knows all the facts: This is the best thing for him, he will be a changed person when he finishes basic, he will go in a boy and come out a man, he is safe. But, my heart is breaking. I wanted more for him. I wanted him to go to college, to become a responsible adult, to have goals and dreams and ambition.

Now, it's up to the Army to do what I failed to do and instill integrity, loyalty & honesty in my son.

He was so excited when he left. He was running on 2 hours sleep and adrenaline.

Cut to 1:50AM Wed. when he started texting me about how much it sucked, how scared he was, how much he loved and missed me and to tell his Grandmother he thought he was going to die there.

I finally got a call from him tonight and it broke my heart. He is hurting so bad, homesick and crying. BUT....he had the opportunity to be put on a flight home without consequences and he decided to stick it out....because he doesn't want to disappoint anyone. He called his Grandmother too. After a few bad connections, tears, and words of encouragement from his Grandmother and myself, he sounded better.

He is waaayyyyy outside his comfort zone. No more comfy bed and all you can eat while watching DVD's all day at Nana's. Reality is hitting him square in his eye's and it sux. I've never heard so may "I love you so much"es. I also got an I'm sorry for all the shit I put you through and how I never appreciated anything.....etc.....It's amazing what 2 hours or less sleep a night and being away from creature comforts for 48 hours can do to a person. Of course, I'd be drooling, in a straight jacket and babbling incoherently if I was in his situation. He hasn't even started basic yet, he's still in what they call purgatory.

So my friends, you are now up to speed on the goings on here at Sharfa's Space. Say a prayer for my son, Christopher. He's really a good kid with a lot of heart. He just hasn't been using much of his brain since he graduated. He has the intelligence and ability to make it through this, I pray I have given him the heart.

It's Good to be Missed.

Sorry.
Sorry.
Sorry.
I'm still alive and all is status quo.
I don't have any excuse, other than maybe being lazy or disinterested in the things that I enjoy.
Or, not having anything good to say.
I certainly don't want to turn this into a whine blog.
The creative juices haven't been flowing.
I feel like I've been a robot going through daily life.
I get up, work, cook, clean, sleep and do it all over again.
Pretty boring shit.
Although.
I think I'm finally starting to take an interest in my life again.
You're gentle proddings have helped.
I owe Stu a meme.
I'm on Suldog's shit list. (Does reading regularly your blog count for anything?)
K's been a concerned dear friend and I haven't forgotten that I owe her a music DVD either.
It was wonderful to hear from cicibug again! (Would luv it even more if she BLOGGED!)

Thank you my friends.
Next time.......it's OK to hit me over the head with a 2X4.
Sometimes I need that.

Son went back to his old job August 18th.
He's doing great at his job.
Of course, having Mom drive him every day doesn't give him room to screw up.
He still has his moments at home when I want to rearrange his face.
Gawd, does he push the limits of reason and sanity.

We went to court yesterday for his B&E.
He was not arrested when this happened.
According to the summons it was a misdemeanor charge for trespassing in an abandoned trailer and under $250 damage to the 'victim'.
There were no charges for contributing to the delinquency of minors.
Son was the only one that was 18, the others were 15 & 16 years old.
We waited around for 3 hours before being called in.
The clerk was the fastest talking woman I have ever heard.
I was allowed to stay in the room at son's permission for support.
I was not allowed to speak.
Which was fine with me.
He's supposedly an adult now and needs to deal with the consequences of his actions on his own....kind of.
The prosecutor was the same police officer at the hearing for the 3 minors involved.
They went to court in July.
The neighbor, Kirk, has been in trouble before and has quite a record. The prosecutor in his case told him he wanted to send him to juvie. Instead, he got 6 months probation. They all got community service.
I was very worried when we never got anything from the court regarding son.
We finally got a summons in the mail in September.
The officer read through the incident report and agreed to give a similar sentence that the minors received, a six month continuance.
That means: If son stays out of trouble for the next six months, the charge is removed from his record as if it never happened.
After that was agreed to by the court and prosecutor, the officer spoke directly to my son regarding hanging around with minors and that it's inappropriate and can get him in to trouble.
The officer made eye contact with me while he was saying this, I just kept nodding and smiling in agreement.
I had son get a letter from his employer prior to the hearing, we didn't need it.
We were in there less than 10 minutes.
Son did a good job answering 'yes, sir' and 'no, sir' when queried by the prosecutor. (I had given him some advice on how to behave. I only wish he'd be that way with me!)
Luckily, son had not been in any legal trouble prior to this incident, or since.
He got off easy.

Now that this has been resolved, son had better tow the line at home.
He's been warned.
Failure to show respect or screwing up at home will lead to a choice: Eviction or Enlistment.
It hasn't been perfect.
It's better than it was.
In my heart, I still believe he needs to go in to some form of the service.
He has no dreams or goals, at least none that he's expressed to me.
His biggest goal at the moment is to get another car.
He knows he's on his own with this one.
We all know how it turned out last time.

I've moved to a new office at work.
1/3 the size of my previous office.
I'm not happy with the move, and I never got satisfactory justification for it.
I'm making the best of it though.
I've been uber busy at work and have no time to post or even surf while at work.
I read blogs during my lunch break.
That's prolly a good thing though, I'm more productive and don't have time to screw off.
I've also got a great view of the Pru out my window.

Mom is doing better.
Her grief therapist told her she should get a dog, on a Tuesday.
That Thursday I took her to the Lowell Humane Society.
Saturday we picked up Keegan.
He's a cockapoo.
He is a loving puddle of fur.
The first night he spent whining and uncomfortable in his crate.
The second night he was in the 'big bed' with Mom, and has been there since.
He's just over a year old now.
He was living with an elderly gentleman that went in to the hospital and couldn't care for him anymore.

At the pound he was reserved & quiet, almost as if he was depressed.
There were 3 women in the room when we met and he went immediately to my Mom, jumped up on his hind legs and proceeded to hump her.
Love at first sight.
Of course, he has been neutered since, so no more humping.
No one will ever be able to sneak into my Mom's house again.
He barks like crazy when he hears someone come in.

Since there is no such thing as coincidence, I believe this was meant to happen.
My Dad would have loved Keegan, and vice versa.
Point of fact: Keegan lays on the couch in the exact spot my Dad used to sit.
Keegan would also lay on the back of the couch in my Dads den, a room my Mom never goes in to.
He also sleeps on my Dad's side of the bed, when he isn't snuggled up to Mom.
Not to mention, my Dad was part Scottish.
Keegan is a Gaelic name meaning little fierce one, and ohhh, does he think he's so tough!
Two lives were saved with his adoption.
It was meant to be and I believe my Dad had something to do with it.

Although Tabitha will still hiss and growl when Dusty is being a terrorist, there have been a few times lately when Tabitha is doing the chasing. The two of them sound like horses running up and down the hall. It's a hoot to see the lil shit jump right over her when Tabitha pounces. Ahhh, the quick reaction time of youth. I believe I was officially forgiven when Tabitha started coming in to bed with me again. It only took a year. That puss can hold a grudge.

I do have some interesting updates on the Neighbors from Hell, but, I think I'll save that for my next post.

Till then...Luv you all, and I've missed you!

Counting Down

I'm counting down the hours until I see my baby....about 46 at this writing.

Leaving tomorrow AM, arriving at airport: noonish, hotel: 2ish, must be at Ft Jackson commander briefing 10AM Thursday morning, then.................he's all mine! Well, I actually have to share him with my Mom, Grandmother and his father (ugh). His father will be going home Friday though. If Christopher gets a weekend day pass then we get to spend the weekend with him too! He had said that was the case but I won't know for sure until we see him.

Got my haircut, did a bit of clothes shopping. Tonight I'll pack and buy some candy for him. Tomorrow it's bring the dog, her crate, food & blankets as well as the bird to Mom's. My Aunt & her BF have graciously offered to pet sit until we get back, which is awesome! I swear, the shit I have to pack up for the animals is as much as I had to pack up for Christopher when he was a baby. My neighbor will feed the cats for me.

Julieta hasn't been away from me for more than a few hours since I adopted her 4 years ago. I hope she fares ok and doesn't miss me too much. I know Iwill get the best welcome home from all the animals. At least Tabitha & Dusty have each other, although - Dusty is my SHADOW when I am home. I cannot pee, walk to my bedroom or go out the door without her being right there. She is a very special feline.

I haven't posted much 'cause I was home sick with a bug last Monday - Wed. I've spent the last few days trying to make up for that and get ahead at work for my vacation. I'm taking the entire week off work when we return. 12 days off - sweet!

My Mom is taking her digital camera, I think I'm going to take my 35mm. Digital is great but I'll tell ya, until I can afford a digital SLR - my Canon AE-1 still rocks. I'm telling you this because I plan on taking lots and lots of photos to share with you.

So, I'm checking things off my lists and hoping I forget nothing. The countdown is underway and I cannot wait to see my kid. This is the longest we've ever been apart and it was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Imagine that? I've gone from kicking him out and not wanting to lay eyes on him cause he was such a shit to practically foaming at the mouth in anticipation of seeing him again.

Found a penny when I got out of my car this morning at work. Thank you Daddy, I know you'll be there with us!

Neighborhood Gossip

I was speaking with neighbor last night while walking the dog. She told me that the children and the daughter from next door moved to Ohio with the new boyfriend.

I did a double take.

This must have happened while I was in Maine cause one of the boys was starting up the Camaro, revving it and playing the stereo loudly (directly beneath my living room windows) just last Thursday. No wonder it has been so quiet this week.

Like the rats leaving a sinking ship. She bailed on her mother and left two junk vehicles in her driveway, and I can only imagine what the inside of that pigsty looks like.

I'm not dancing yet - but I am certainly tapping my toes.

Sunday night update:

K, the boy that was in the Camaro last week, was there Friday, doing the same. He has been living with his Uncle & going to school in NH. Apparently, his Mom moved to Ohio and left him with her brother. Last I heard, the oldest son was in a psych ward, because he attempted to kill the family & planned on killing himself. I think he just got big enough to fight back (from the physical abuse) and Mom couldn't handle that. The whole crew is a bunch of liars. I know this from first hand experience.

Mom was nice enough to take in her daughter, son-in-law and 2 children - which grew to 5 children over the course of 11 years. There is a 6th grandchild in there somewhere that daughter doesn't have custody of - the luckiest of the bunch, IMHO. That's right, 6 children that I help support via welfare. She had her first at 16. A cycle her 2 daughters will no doubt repeat.

Daughter & son-in-law split, new BF moved in 6 months later. The youngest 3 look more like the new BF than their supposed father. If you do the math, there were 8 people living in a 2 bedroom, 14X72 mobile home. There is a small porch addition that was converted to 2 bedrooms, with storm windows and no heat. When the BF moved in for two months, his 4 children would visit on the weekends. Math = 12!

Grateful daughter moves to Ohio with 3 of her 6 children. Leaves Mom with eviction, 2 junk vehicles in the driveway and all her crappy furniture. Priceless!

Saturday morning Grandma's son and ex son-in-law were at the house. The van was gone. At least there is progress.

I was hoping to come home and find their place empty. No such luck. I am looking forward to more this week.

Trailer Trash Neighbors From Hell

I'm seeking advice from the internet.

Let me preface by saying, I live in a trailer park. (Hey, it's all I could afford when I got divorced and I didn't want a condo (Read - expensive apartment). It's really not that bad. I live in the newest section (1987) that has large lots and nice "manufactured housing". I'm talking cathedral ceilings, skylights, garden tubs with a separate shower, my son even has a half bath in his bedroom. I have a decent sized yard that allows me to have a nice garden & room for the dog to run.

The drawbacks are that you pay rent & mortgage and....You live fairly close to your neighbors. One side of my home is my yard - the other is my neighbors. Most everyone in the neighborhood is pretty cool, quiet and keep to themselves. That is except for the ones that live next to me.

You've all heard about neighbors from hell, well....I live next to the definition of "trailer trash".

Seriously, I've put up with a lot over the last 11 years.

Here are some examples:

snowballs thrown at my house
rocks and eggs thrown at my house
soiled diapers thrown in my back yard
my son sucker punched so hard it broke his nose and he is constantly verbally harassed
plants trampled in my front garden
loud booming stereo (this is constant and ongoing with many calls to the local PD)
A grown man peeping in my windows (a complaint was filed and he was found guilty, got a slap on the wrist)
constant noise - yelling, screaming, cursing
comings and goings at all hours of the night
Revving engines and exhaust fumes
Listening to mental, emotional, verbal & physical abuse
fish heads left on my doorstep and car

There's more, but you get the idea.

When I first moved in, things were fine. I lived next to a woman and her husband, their grown son lived with them. There was some loud shouting, but that ended when the husband died. Then the son went to jail for some reason and things were quiet, until the grandchildren moved in.

At first it was cool, my son had kids his age living next door. He played with them for a while, until their behavior became a problem. The two boys, 6 and 5 (at the time my son was 6) basically ran amok with no supervision. The only time Grandma was outside was at 4 o'clock in the afternoon to hose down the driveway. A tradition still in effect 9 years later. (I swear, "a broom" is not in this woman's vocabulary, and the words "water shortage" just don't apply to her).

A short time later, their mother, her husband, and their daughter moved in. Three adults and three children living in a two bedroom trailer. They continued to breed and produced two more children. Now, there were 5 children and three adults living in a two bedroom trailer. I found out later that this woman actually had six children by four different fathers, she started having babies at 16. She only has custody of five of the children though. What a surprise.

So, you get the basic idea, loud, noisy, abusive, dirty (the trash and mess are a sight). They have no respect for anyone. A family that represents the cycle of abuse and welfare abuse. A couple years ago charges were brought against the eldest son and friends for sexual abuse against his stepsister and another 8 year old. Nice.

The abusive father was finally thrown out about a year ago. This is the man that I caught peeping in my windows 4 years ago. A man that convinced his wife that I pressed charges because I made a pass at him and he refused. PUUULLLEASE! The guy looks like a 5 foot Neanderthal. I'm talking nasty here. But, she bought it, hook, line & sinker. And believe me, she's no prize, this woman has a face only a mother could love. My son has even commented about how homely she is.

Recently - he's been back though. With his loud Trans Am and loud pickup truck, spending nights here and there. She's just dumb enough to take the SOB back. Then I'll be able to enjoy the sounds of him beating his wife and children again.

Basically, it's hell living next to these people. I've complained to the park manager till I'm blue in the face. They were supposed to be evicted 5 years ago. They're still here. It's a park rule that "guests" cannot stay more than 30 days. The Grandmother is the one that owns the home. The daughter and children are considered guests. They've been there 10 years! The manager and owners are nothing more than slum lords that want to sit back and collect the rent checks. No help there.

This family is like the Munsters. They don't come out until 8 o'clock at night to play in the driveway, right next to my open living room windows, during the summer. Then they make all kinds of noise. Just at the time when I am winding down and want to relax. I've been woken several times at 11PM by pounding base of vulgar rap music. Nothing like being woken up by Eminem rapping about fuck this and fuck that. There is the occasional toddler in pajamas at noon time dancing on the car without an adult in sight. I'm talking quality parenting here.

I want to make one thing clear - I HAVE NEVER DONE ANYTHING TO THESE PEOPLE. I mind my own business and have even lent them tools and helped them out on occasion. I've called the police department countless times about the loud music and fighting that never seems to end, but only when things become completely intolerable. I let a lot slide.

So, imagine my surprise when I got home tonight to find that "someone" had gone on to my property and shoveled 4 feet of snow on to my doorstep. No shit, it was 4 feet high at my front door. The tracks in the snow show that two individuals went on to my property and shoveled snow from the driveway on my steps. Do I need any other evidence to think that it was the delinquents next door? I think not. Nevermind that I left my house at 6:30 AM and didn't return until 7PM to find 14 inches of snow in my drive, plus what the plows left.

My son wants nothing more than to throw rocks through every window and beat the shit out of the eldest boys. I have to say, I don't blame him, I'd love a piece of that. He & a friend spent 8 hours today snowblowing and shoveling driveways in my parents neighborhood. He worked so hard that he woke up shouting that he couldn't feel his leg 20 minutes ago. He was writhing in agony at the muscle spasms in his thighs. But, I'm also afraid that these same freaks will burn my house to the ground while I'm at work if he does. It serves no purpose to get into a pissing contest with these losers.

I'm at a loss here.

I can go to the police department tomorrow and file a complaint. I have no proof that it was my neighbors and nothing will come of it. Complaining to the park manager is a joke.

So, what do I do? What satisfactory recourse do I have? How do I get these total waste of a human life things to leave me alone? Does anyone out there have neighbor horror stories and how they dealt with it? Ideas? Anyone? I wish I could deal with them as tactfully as MM dealt with his Really Big Home Improvement Store problem and get the satisfactory results that he did. Help me people. I'm just left of going postal here.
