Did I tell you that Mom is in A-Fib again?
Since she went back into A-fib so soon after being cardioverted they are going to take a different approach this time: Cardiac Ablation.
A bit of roto-router for the heart.
Ducky.
Hopefully this will fix the problem for good.
Once again, my poor Mom is in a holding pattern, unable to work or do much of anything.

I have no idea if this will help or make you more nervous, but I'm hoping for the former: A friend of mine is recovering splendidly from a 6-way heart bypass.
My point is that it's almost 2008 and medicine and surgery have come a very long way since we were kids. There's no way I can remove the worry, and that's as it should be - worry equals care. But maybe this will have helped lower the worry level a bit.
Your mom is in my prayers. As are you.
Ditto to what Stu said - both about the advances in medicine, and the prayers.
I hate to be a copycat, but these two are right. I will keep your mom in my prayers. And you too. (((Hugs)))
Thanks peeps. I am not overly worried about the surgery. I've read a bit on it and it's almost routine. They don't even knock you out for it (Although Mom wants to be OUT, so would I).
I just hope it fixes it for good.
My dad had the same condition. Has been fine for over a year after having the abalation. The cardioversion was not terribly effective.
You and your mom are in my prayers, Sharfa.
