Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, they worked!
Son went and begged the Commander to let him stay. Christopher got docked some pay, was put on restriction for 14 days and had extra duties for 14 days.
He seems to have turned the corner though and basically done 180 degrees. He just had the opportunity to be squad leader! He's having fun now and said he's kinda bored. Yea, bored.
He sounds so much better in his letter now.

I cannot wait to see my baby again at graduation in March.
I got 12 letters Thu & Friday. His attitude has changed and he's really trying to think about things positively like I said in one of my letters. He's feeling much better about everything.

That's the kind of stuff that will either make you or break you. I'm glad (and not surprised) that he had it in him! I'm so happy for you!
