The Patch

Trying again

Friday night I had my last cigarette. Saturday morning I woke up sick as a dog with a bad cold. Either someone up there is trying to help me, or has a twisted sense of humor. Using a nicotine patch definitely helps with the cravings. Plus - you have very vivid, intense dreams.

Last night for instance - I dreamt that I found out my son was buying drugs from hearing him talk in his sleep. Oh, and paranoid Mama ain't going through his drawers later? I realize it's been on my mind lately - he's at that age. I watch him closely when he returns from hanging with friends. The subconscious mind is an amazing thing, especially when nicotine powered!

Yeah, you go girl! Keep this up and you might get a mysterious briefcase full of??

Um, where exactly IS that patch? I'm just wondering because I know you were planning to take another picture for a certain worthy cause, and well, inquiring minds want to know...

Good luck on your no smoking deal. I admire you efforts and courage-

You are so right to watch your son. if you don't, no one will. Keep up the good work Mom!

Also glad to hear that Julietta is fitting in nicely. The girls are bound to give her a break sooner or later : )

I quit seven years ago, thanks to the patch. My theory is you can build a house with your bare hands but why not use a hammer? The patch is a great tool!

Good luck in quitting!

The patch definitely helps. I have had my trying moments where I say out loud - I want a smoke! Usually in the evening.....when my son is really pissing me off.

Good for you, I hope you quit. It was one of the hardest things I've ever done but it can be done. Willpower, stay strong.
